SUBSCRIPTIONS
AND MATCH FEES
There are four levels of club subscription - Primary School, High
School, Open and Grass grade.
Club subscription
rates for the 2012 season remain the same as last year and are:
Primary School players $80.00 reducible to $55.00 if paid by Tuesday
12th June 2012. In addition there is a small one off fee for all primary
players playing on artificial surfaces.
High School $180.00 reducible to $130.00 if paid by Tuesday 12th
June 2012. An advance on Turf fees of $50.00 in addition to the subscription
is also required.
Open grade $280.00 reducible to $210.00 if paid by Tuesday 12th
June 2012. A non refundable advance on Turf fees of $65.00 in addition
to the subscription is also required.
For High School and Open Grades a minimum match fee of $5.00
per game is payable to the team manager on the day of the game. The
weekly match fee can vary depending on sponsorship, team fundraising
efforts and playing numbers, however the charge to the club by the Hockey
Association is:
$99.45
per team per game for games of 70 minutes duration
$90.70 per team per game for games of 60 minutes duration
Members playing solely on grass $250.00 reducible to $175.00 if paid
by Tuesday 12th June 2011.
Social or Supporters membership remains at $10.00
Uniform hire of $10.00 per player is additional to the club subscription
for all teams.
There is
a family discount of 10% available for three or more high school or
primary players from the one family.
CLUB
COLOURS
The
clubs playing colors are black and gold. The playing shirt is taken
to and from the games by the team manager. Sox are the players responsibility.
Hornby wears its uniform with pride and the wearing of non uniform items
at game time is not acceptable.
CLUB
SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
In an effort to maintain or improve our ranking in the local premier
competition the club offers a limited number of hockey scholarships
to students in full time tertiary study. In return successful candidates
are expected to take a full part in all team activity, trainings and
games, maintain a high level of fitness and be available to assist with
the club's junior development programme. We would expect applicants
to have been involved in their provincial grades at, at least U/18 level
or higher.
