Our Club is located in the Hornby suburb of Christchurch at the southern end of town and not only draws most of its players from Hornby but also serves a large rural surrounding area. Playing membership in 2024 exceeded 400 and we are looking forward to another increase in 2025.
We are the closest club to Lincoln University and handy to Canterbury University and the Christchurch College of Education and as a consequence have a number of tertiary students playing for us as well as players from many other parts of town.
Hornby prides itself in catering for all levels of hockey ability and has a large team of volunteers involved as coaches and managers in all grades (junior through premier).
